2018 FORD EDGE ANDROID
When the GPS stops working, so does Android Auto. Once, on a trip to Tampa, the display showed me in the middle of Tampa Bay. The map still displays, but the location indicator wanders off the route. "The GPS sometimes displays an icon indicating it's not working. The final straw is when I saw oil leaks and after 3 hours the dealer said the plastic oil pan is leaking and it would take 2 weeks to get to it." System after you ask it to cancel route, asks you if you want to cancel route, have to answer yes or no. System keeps reminding to obey traffic laws. "System gives only 1/10 of a mile warning to make turns. Data compared to a Garmin 61 that I installed because the in vehicle system is so unreliable." No available map updates available and I'm told none are planned. "Inaccurate data, wrong addresses, buildings 5 years old not in system. We stopped the car and turned it off, waited a little while and turned it back on. "On a long trip the display screen stopped working. They ordered a replacement part and we are waiting for it to arrive at the dealership.
2018 FORD EDGE SOFTWARE
"The dealer installed a software update but that did not fix the problem. An X indicates that the vehicle was not manufactured for a specific year. N/A indicates that we did not receive a large enough sample size to provide data for a specific year. Our subscribers provide great insights into their satisfaction by answering one simple question: If they had it to do all over again, would they definitely buy or lease the same model? In addition, respondents also rate their cars in six categories: driving experience, comfort, value, styling, audio, and climate systems. To learn about satisfaction, CR has collected survey data from our annual survey on more than half a million vehicles. Based on this data and further analysis, we predict reliability for the latest year. Extra weight is given to the more serious areas such as major engine or transmission problems. The results are presented relative to the average model that year. Consumer Reports subscribers reported on any serious problems they had with their vehicles during the past 12 months that they considered serious because of cost, failure, safety, or downtime, in any of the trouble spots included in the table below. The reliability charts are based on responses on hundreds of thousands of vehicles from our latest Annual Auto Survey.
